          Research into the history of the electric incandescent lamp would be incomplete without the unearthing of writings regarding the persons involved in the development.

          In the United States much has been written about Thomas Alva Edison, and rightly so, but other inventors throughout the world also contributed significantly to the knowledge base that allowed this invention to light up the world.
